Man With a Provisional Diagnosis of Biliary Colic

BACKGROUND
This 45-year-old man with a provisional diagnosis of biliary colic is referred for abdominal ultrasonography. The patient has a 2-month history of intermittent pain in the right upper quadrant. Ultrasonography reveals a hypoechoic mass in the right lobe of the liver. CT is performed to further characterize the mass. Tumor markers are normal.
